Missions
The Protestant Reformed Churches believe that in obedience to the command of Christ the King of the Church they are to preach the blessed gospel to all creatures. Baptizing and teaching them to observe all things which Christ has commanded. Believing we are privileged and duty bound according to our ability, we carry out our calling to preach the Gospel.
The Protestant Reformed Churches believe it is the calling of the local church to be involved in mission work. As a denomination of local churches, the Protestant Reformed Churches are involved in common with all the churches of the federation in the work of domestic missions. The Domestic Mission Committee of the Protestant Reformed Churches is made up of ten members. Five are ordained ministers and five are inactive or active elders. This committee works closely with a calling church and their missionary at his current base of operations wherever that may be.
While the goal of missions is the organizing of local congregations, the missionary may move his base of operations to another location where there are sufficient members of a group seeking help.
The Domestic Mission Committee of the Protestant Reformed Churches is always finding and investigating new fields of labor in the Eastern and Western halves of the United States.
